Google Business Profile · Long Island

Google Business Profile management from a Long Island web designer.

When someone on Long Island searches for what you do, your Google listing usually answers before your website gets the chance. We keep that listing true: the hours, the services, the photos and the posts, checked and corrected on a schedule, so the business people find is the one you actually run today.

What the work is

What Google Business Profile management covers, and what it does not.

Your profile is the panel Google shows when someone searches your name or your trade. It is how you appear on Google Maps, and for a lot of customers it is the only thing they read before they call. Managing it means keeping every fact on that panel true, week after week, the way you would keep the sign over your door straight.

  • Hours that match the door. Regular hours, holiday hours, the Monday you close early: changed on the profile the same day they change in real life.
  • Services in your customers' words. Every service you offer, listed with a short description that matches what your website says about it.
  • Photos that are actually yours. Real shots of your work, your shop and your crew, added through the year, so the newest picture is not from 2021.
  • Posts that stay current. A short update when you have real news, and old offers taken down the day they end.

What it does not cover: we never stuff keywords into your business name, never invent an address, and never promise you the top of the map. Google sets that order, and anyone who guarantees a position is guessing with your money.

What it costs

How Long Island shops price this, and what ours costs.

Shop around Nassau and Suffolk County and you will see profile work sold two ways: a one-time fee to claim and fill out the listing, or a monthly retainer to keep it up, usually month-to-month. A setup fee fixes the profile once. Your business keeps changing after that, and the listing does not change with it unless somebody is watching.

Ours is the monthly kind. Profile care is part of Found on Google, the $149 a month add-on to your website care plan that also runs your reviews, month to month, so you can leave whenever it stops earning its keep.

A quick one

Google My Business is the same thing, with an older name.

Google renamed Google My Business to Google Business Profile a few years back. If an old invoice, a directory or a sales call still says GMB, they mean the listing on this page. Same panel, same facts, same job of keeping them true.

One desk

Review management belongs on the same desk as the profile.

Your reviews sit on the same panel as your hours and photos. A listing with the right hours and a hard review nobody answered still looks half run. That is why profile care and review management are one add-on here: the person checking your hours is the same one drafting your replies and setting up the link your customers use to leave a review.

Who you are trusting

One person behind the studio, and work you can look at first.

AFM Digital Studio is one founder you can name and check: Antonimar Mello, based in Bay Shore, who built OnCallRank, scheduling software for hospital nursing units that is live in production today. You can look at that work, and at the site you are reading now, before you add us as a manager on your profile. Read the founder's story.

Why it sits with your site

The profile, the website and the reviews should tell the same story.

Customers check your profile and your website side by side, and so do Google and the AI assistants people ask for a recommendation. When one says you close at six and the other says five, nobody knows which to believe. Because we build your website and look after your profile from the same desk, one set of facts feeds both, and a change lands everywhere at once. The longer version of that argument is in our note on keeping your business facts matched online.

You can check yours tonight, free. Search your business name on Google Maps from your phone and read the listing like a stranger would. Are the hours right? Is that the phone you answer? Is the newest photo from this year? Any no is the work.

Questions, answered straight

What owners ask about their Google profile.

Do I have to give you my Google password?

No. Google lets the owner add a manager to the profile from the owner's own account, and that is how we work. You stay the owner, you can see every change we make, and you can remove our access any day you like. We never ask for your password, and nobody else should either.

Can you get my business to the top of the map?

Nobody can promise that, and we will not. Google sets the order by how well a listing matches the search, how close the business is to the person searching, and how well known it is. What we control is the part a customer can see: a profile that is complete, correct and current. That is the job, every month.

What do you need from me to start?

Three things. Manager access to your profile, a short call about your hours, services and the towns you cover, and whatever real photos of your work are already on your phone. If you cannot get into your profile at all, tell us on that call, because getting you back in comes before anything else.

Is this the same add-on as reviews?

Yes. Profile care and review management are one add-on, Found on Google, $149 a month on top of your website care plan, month to month. The same person keeps your hours, services, photos and posts right and drafts a reply to every review.
